ELOP
The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) provides funding for afterschool and out of school enrichment programs for SPECIFIC STUDENT POPULATIONS.
“Expanded learning” means before school, after school, or intersession learning programs that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences. Expanded learning programs complement, but do not replicate, learning activities in the regular school day and school year.
ENROLLMENT PRIORITY IS GIVEN TO THE FOLLOWING STUDENTS: FOSTER YOUTH, STUDENTS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS, ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS, AND STUDENTS QUALIFYING FOR FREE/REDUCED PRICE LUNCH SERVICES. STUDENTS IN ADDITION TO THESE PRIORITY GROUPS WILL BE PLACED AS SPACE IS AVAILABLE.
