Dragon's Den After-School Program Tuition Assistance
ICIA is committed to making Dragon's Den accessible to families while maintaining a high-quality after-school program.

Reduced tuition and fee waivers are available through a sliding scale based on household income and applicable eligibility requirements. Please note that English Learner (EL) status alone does not automatically qualify a student for free after-school care.

Families seeking reduced tuition or a fee waiver must complete the Free and Reduced-Price Meal (FRL) application each school year. This application is used to determine eligibility for available tuition assistance and other qualifying programs.

For more information about Dragon's Den tuition or to request financial assistance, please contact the ICIA Front Office.

Who Qualifies for ELOP?

The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) is designed to support students who benefit most from additional learning time, enrichment, and care outside of regular school hours.

At Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy (ICIA), ELOP is currently offered at no cost to eligible families whose children meet the following criteria:

  • Qualify for Free or Reduced-Price Meals (FRL):
Based on household income information submitted through the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application (FRPM), which is reviewed and verified by the state.

  • Foster Youth or Homeless Students (Mckinney Vento Students):
Students experiencing housing instability or placed in foster care.

Many state and federal funding programs use the data from FRPM forms to determine how much support a school receives—even if no one eats a single lunch. This includes:

  • Academic support services and specialists
  • Technology upgrades and classroom resources
  • Grants for enrichment, wellness, and language program

Even if your child doesn’t qualify, your completed form helps us paint a clearer picture of our community’s needs—and that influences funding across the board.

Paper applications available in the front office.
